American Culture 2.0 is an ambitious, deeply researched and thought-provoking book that takes on some of the biggest questions about how we live, raise our families, educate our children, lead, govern and shape the culture we leave behind. What impressed me most was the scope of what Mark Bitz has undertaken and how much thought, research and life experience went into it. He made me stop, question, consider and look at familiar issues in ways I hadn’t before. I didn’t agree with every conclusion, and some perspectives are very different from my own, but that is part of what made the book so engaging. You don’t have to agree with every idea in American Culture 2.0 to come away from it thinking more deeply about what we believe, why we believe it, and what we want to pass on to the next generation. That’s a conversation worth having.
